Kinabatangan Wetlands Resort is an out-of-the-ordinary resort, nestled away in the Lower
Kinabatangan-Segama Wetlands (LKSW), a RAMSAR-designated wetlands conservation area. Of
note, the LKSW is the first RAMSAR site in Sabah, and the largest in Malaysia, at a size of 788.03
km² (larger than Singapore which is 734.3km2) on the eastern coast of Borneo island.
You will travel by sea, past local fishing villages and then meander through the most diverse
mangrove vegetation in the world, before reaching your hidden forest sanctuary.
As you walk though the groves of nipah palms, you will reach our timber-built resort, beautifully
placed among the pristine/ancient mangrove trees.
